Pientä ompelua olen taas aloitellut - jo Kankaanpäässäkin ompelin viimeisellä viikolla Päivölän kurssitöitä. Tällainen pussukka jäi siellä kesken, joten pistin sen tänään kasaan. En ole aikaisemmin ommellut wedding ring-blokkeja, joten ensimmäinen harjoitelmani meni mäkeen, tai, no, jäi vaiheeseen, josta ehkä joskus myöhemmin sen korjailen valmiiksi. Tähän toiseen jalostin itse kaavan vähän yksinkertaisemmasta mallista Paint.netillä, jotta sain siihen haluamani muodon. Ja tämän ompelukin oli jo helpompaa.
****************************It's time to revive this blog after the long silence: I'm back home, not quite back to normal, because I have summer vacation from my regular job. There has been a lot of sorting out with things brought back from my student home in Kankaanpää, and part of the stuff is still waiting for final location. Believe or not, all the stuff in the three first pictures travelled home in my tiny Mitsubishi Colt automobile. Packing the car was like playing tetris: first there was plenty of room for big units, towards the end I pushed smaller and smaller units into every possible area available. On the front passenger's seat I only had enough space to be able to utilize the side mirror, since behind me all space was full to the ceiling, so I couldn't see anything from the rear mirror... Luckily the back window of my car is blackened and there were no police cars in sight as I drove the 250 km home.
My sewing room was also in need of some reorganizing, but now I've started to sew. I started his little wedding ring pouch three weeks ago in Kankaanpää, but now I put the pieces together. I've never sewn wedding ring blocks before, so my first try wasn't successful. For this one I took a simpler pattern and modified it a bit with Paint.net to achieve the form I wanted.
